About this product
A satin pillowcase in 100 per cent polyester, in nine colours.
Satin is a weave rather than a fibre. This one glides the way silk glides, holds its colour, and costs a good deal less to own.
One pillowcase in 100 per cent polyester satin, 51 cm by 76 cm.
Satin is a WEAVE and silk is a fibre, so a fabric sold as satin can contain no silk at all. This one contains none, and this page says so rather than leaving you to work it out from the price.
Nine colours, and the dye is fade resistant.
It is far more forgiving in the wash than silk is, which is the honest reason most people choose it.
This is a satin pillowcase, and satin is a weave rather than a fibre. The yarn here is 100 per cent polyester.
Saying that plainly is the point, because plenty of shops do not. A case sold as satin can be almost anything, and the price is usually the only clue you get.
What you get for the money is the glide. The surface is smooth in the same way a silk case is smooth, so hair and skin move across it rather than catching on it.
What you do not get is silk's breathability. Polyester holds warmth more than silk does, which some people want in January and nobody wants in July.
It washes in a machine and it does not need the mesh bag, the cold cycle and the careful drying that a silk case needs.
Still deciding?
Not sure yet? That is fine.
You can change your mind. Irish and EU law give you 14 days from the day your order arrives to cancel an online purchase, and our own policy also accepts returns within 15 days of purchase, whichever is later. Return it unused and in its original packaging; you cover the return postage, and we refund the price and the delivery charge.
If it turns up faulty, damaged or not as described, that is on us. We repair it, replace it or give you your money back and pay the return postage. Your rights under Irish consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2022, are unaffected. Read the detail on our refunds and returns page, or ask us anything before you order.

Do you deliver outside Ireland?
This store delivers within Ireland.
Can I track my order?
Yes. Enter the code from your shipping email on the Track Your Order page.
Why did my order arrive in two parcels?
Items in one order can be sent in separate packages, so more than one tracking number is normal.
Is there a phone number?
There is, and it is an international call centre. Email is usually the quicker way to reach the team.
Do you offer wholesale pricing?
Yes. Send the sizes and quantities through the wholesale page.
How do I know which size I need?
Measure the mattress rather than reading across from its label. Sizes on this site are given in centimetres.
What is the difference between a set's size and its piece count?
Size is how big it is, piece count is how many items are in the set. An EU King four-piece and an EU King six-piece are different options at different prices.
Should I wash it before using it?
Yes. A first wash settles the fabric.
How do I keep the colour looking good?
Follow the care instructions on this page. Washing cool and drying out of direct sun is kinder to any dyed fabric.
Can I put it in the dryer?
Check the care instructions on this page. Some items take a low tumble and the silk pieces do not.
Do you sell matching pieces separately?
Some ranges, yes. The category page shows what is sold on its own.
Is this the same product the other Bed Linen Company sites sell?
Bed Linen Company runs a separate site for each country. This one is the Irish store, and its range and prices are its own.
Can I order by phone?
Orders go through the website. Email us if something is not working and we will help.
Which payment methods are accepted?
Card and PayPal, both through the checkout.
